All Saints’ Confirmations.

St Clement’s has no truck with the modern habit of keeping Feasts on the nearest Sunday, on the premise that no one will come to church on a weekday. So even when it is a Monday evening, as this year, we have a Pontifical High Mass of All Saints in the evening, Pontifical this year because Bishop Rodney Michel, ¬†our Assisting Bishop, is celebrating the Mass, preaching and conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation.

He will in fact be confirming two people and receiving three others from the Roman Catholic Church, who have already been confirmed. It is good to be able to report that all five new members are in their twenties or thirties, and I am so pleased that St Clement’s is attracting such thoughtful young people. And there are another half a dozen other such, waiting in the wings to be confirmed or received later. It is good news for the future of our church.

Pray for these new members: Gavin, Juliet, Robert, Lauren & Patrick.
